Cabernet Sauvignon, Estate 2013

Black cherry with dried herbs, cassis, and spiced plum on the nose. On the palate, blackberry and cherry with fresh green herbs, and a well-balanced structure. A hint of dust and earth add layers of complexity. Well balanced and suitable for drinking on its own or pairing with braised meats, Coq au Vin, or hard cheeses such as Manchego. Decanting recommended.

A combination of dark and red fruits on the nose, with red currant, cherry, and a slightly herbal raspberry note on the palate. Orange peel and spice with cinnamon and a touch of red apple skins and coriander. This wine has a great acid structure and balanced tannin, and would be delicious with roasted or grilled meats. Merlot, Estate 2013

Red fruits dominate in this luscious, smooth, and complex Merlot. Red cherry and cranberry, with a combination of fresh red, spiced, and stewed plum. Elements of dried orange peel and italian herbs, with a touch of Chinese Five Spice. A moderate acid level and smooth tannins make for great food pairings; look to red sauces with white meats or eggplant parmigiana.

Sangiovese, Estate 2013

Red cherry with sweet italian herbs and baking spice on the nose. Notes of savory baked plum with a touch of hibiscus. Sweet tomato leaf and herbs with dried orange peel, cedar, and anise on the palate. This Sangiovese is a wonderful mix of ripe and savory flavors, and will continue to get more complex as it ages. Decanting recommended.

Tasting Notes: This Super-Tuscan translated means “seductive”. It is a deep, dark red color with aromas of ripe cherry, plum, raspberry with a mild butterscotch bouquet. Gripping acidity on the palate with flavors of blackberry, leather, tobacco, rhubarb and a cedar-like finish. Serve with pork tenderloin with cherry reduction, pasta Bolognese, eggplant parmigiana, sundried tomato sausage or even a grilled octopus salad.

Red fruits hit first, cherry and plum with some red apple and a touch of pomegranate. Hints of baking chocolate with an earthy dust element, and a touch of maple syrup. A complex wine that will pair well with lamb dishes and dry rub barbeque.

Zinfandel, Estate 2013
Double Gold, Best of Class of Region, California State Fair Wine Competition
Our estate Zinfandel appears deep bright red. It has aromas reminiscent of strawberry jam and cedar. Initially soft and medium bodied on the palate, it opens with flavors of strawberries and black olive, leading to a crisp finish of red berries. We suggest serving this wine with cedar-plank salmon, tapenade, pulled pork, Alton Brown’s baby back ribs, sweet and sour pork, venison chili or a monte cristo sandwich.

Syrah, Santa Clara Valley 2007
Brilliant in clarity, and deep dark garnet in color. Many layers of aromas consisting of ripe berry, violets, smoke, cherry, and cloves. Entry flavors of blackberry and mushroom segue to a medium length finish of toasted oak. We recommend serving this syrah with potato cheddar soup, duck with plum sauce or Greek lamb shanks. 484 cases produced.
White Wine
Chardonnay, Santa Clara Valley 2016
Light pale gold color; fresh aromas reminiscent of honey, banana chips, melon and peach. Soft yet balanced acidity, this chardonnay has entry flavors of nectarine and pink grapefruit leading to a crisp, clean finish. Serving suggestions: ceviche, calamari steak, grapefruit roasted chicken, and pan-fried pork chop over sautéed mustard greens.

Fiano, Estate 2016
The Fiano grape is indigenous to Southern Italy and produces this lovely, clean, refreshing varietal. Clear and bright, our Fiano is a light gold color with green hues. Fragrant aromas resemble meyer lemon, pineapple, peach, guava and dried mango. The mouth feel is soft and rich with flavors of grapefruit, apricot and pineapple and a lingering finish reminiscent of dried mango. Serve with grilled peaches with gorgonzola and white balsamic, pineapple fried rice, grilled mahi mahi, yellow curry, fish tacos, apricot stuffed braised pork loin, and mild cheeses. 372 cases produced.

Rosé Wine
Vino Roseo di Sangiovese 2016
A beautiful rosé produced primarily with Sangiovese grape. Dark pink with orange hues, this complex wine opens with aromas of cherry, watermelon and strawberry. Balanced acidity and a slight sweetness, it has a wide range of flavors including cranberry, cherry, ginger, orange peel, strawberry and grapefruit. Pair with turkey-cranberry sandwich, sushi, sweet and sour pork, kung pao chicken, fruit and blue cheese.

Our port is unfiltered with a dull mahogany color and delightful aromas of sweet celery, coffee and mocha. This decadent dessert wine opens with flavors of mocha, dark chocolate covered raisins and butterscotch leading to a rich, creamy finish reminiscent of toasted nuts and would pair well with pecan pie, chocolate walnut brownies, crème brulee, or even a sharp cheese like cave-aged blue.
