Red Wine
Sangiovese, Estate 2007
Gold, San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition
This deep dark red wine is typical for our estate vineyard. Plum and ripe fruit and a hint of earthiness on the nose. Flavors explode in the mouth with juicy black cherry and black currant wrapped up in tangy acidity. It finishes with a long lingering taste of sweet toasted oak. Pair this wine with short ribs, blue cheese stuffed mushroom or meaty lasagna. 270 cases produced.

Seducente, Santa Clara Valley 2008
Gold Medal, San Diego International Wine Competition
This Super-Tuscan wine definitely has an old world style. The color is dull brick red and has aromas of berry, cherry and dust. Pleasantly soft on the palate with cherry and rhubarb flavors lead to a mild raspberry finish. This food friendly wine would pair with carpaccio, mushroom risotto, eggplant lasagna or portabella burgers. 237 cases produced.

Syrah, Santa Clara Valley 2007
Brilliant in clarity, and deep dark garnet in color. Many layers of aromas consisting of ripe berry, violets, smoke, cherry, and cloves. Entry flavors of blackberry and mushroom segue to a medium length finish of toasted oak. We recommend serving this syrah with potato cheddar soup, duck with plum sauce or Greek lamb shanks. 484 cases produced.

Cabernet Sauvignon, Estate 2007
Brilliant dark red color. Initial aromas of candied fruit, blueberries and cassis lead to notes of oak and cedar. Bold entry flavors of dark fruit and berries lingers to a medium-long finish of maple and cedar. Serve with bacon-wrapped filet, rack of lamb and wild duck with hoisin sauce. 299 cases produced.

Cara Mia, Reserve 2007
This Meritage is a blend of the finest grapes from our region. It is clear and deep, dark red with initial aromas of dark berry and plum followed by back notes of mint and toasty oak. Flavors of plum, dark fruit and orange peel lead to a slightly herbaceous mid-palate finishing with long, lingering notes of caramel and vanilla. We recommend serving with grilled rib eye topped with orange peel gremolata, rack of lamb with mint jelly, meatloaf with red wine-mushroom sauce, and osso bucco.

Merlot, Estate 2007
Gold Medal, California State Fair Wine Competition
Very typical of our estate merlot, this supple wine is a bright and clear, deep dark red color with aromas of blackberry jam, black licorice and a hint of dust. It is well-balanced with flavors of blackberry, currant and cherry leading to a creamy, medium-long finish of vanilla. Best enjoyed with roasted beef tenderloin, herb crusted pork loin with dark fruit compote or any lean game meat.

Rosé Wine
Vino Roseo di Sangiovese 2009
Visually clean with bright hues of salmon, rose and copper. Lovely aromas resemble fresh peaches, rhubarb and jasmine blossoms with hints of strawberry jam. Slightly sweet entry flavors of peach and passion fruit leads to a crisp mid-palate of fresh apricot with citrus notes, leading to a long lingering finish of dried apricot. Perfectly suited alone as an aperitif, or served with spicy tuna roll, turkey-cranberry sandwich, braised pork roast with apricots, and hard, mild cheeses.

Chardonnay, Estate 2009
Nice clarity with a medium pale straw hue. Aromas reminiscent of apple pie and butterscotch with soft oak undertones. Slight acidity and medium bodied, this chardonnay has entry flavors of green apple and mineral water leading to baking yeast and honey notes. Serving suggestions: chicken Caesar salad, grilled salmon, shrimp spring roll, Fontina Panini and mild goat cheese. 166 cases produced.

Visually bright, clear, light straw color. Exquisite aromas of pear, peach, citrus and rose petals jump out of the glass in layers. Crisp entry flavors of melon, green apples and orange peel are well balanced with a slight sweetness leading to pear and citrus flavors followed by a long apricot finish. Serving suggestions: calamari steak with lemon wedge garnish, grilled swordfish, pork tenderloin with apple-pear chutney and veal picatta.

Port California
Ruby Port (500ml)
This port is a dull garnet color. Distinct aromas of dark chocolate with hints of cherry and raspberry fill the glass. The wine is well balanced with sweetness and body. Entry flavors of dark chocolate and dried fruit segue into a warm rich chocolate finish with a hint of oak. Pairs well with raspberry torte, port poached figs with crumbled blue cheese, and raspberry truffles. 257 cases produced.

Anita Maria di Muscato (375ml)
Pale gold color. Long, slow legs on the side of the glass. Fragrant aromas of honeysuckle and citrus blossoms. Bright flavors of ripe Muscat and citrus. Sleek mid-palate texture with notes of almond in the background. Warm, sweet, medium-length finish. Enjoy with fresh fruit, Point Reyes Blue Cheese, Gorgonzola, Munster or Tilsit cheeses. Gently reduce and use as a glaze for pork tenderloin. Serve well chilled. 296 cases produced.
