SOLIS WINERY PAYS TRIBUTE TO FAMILY HERITAGE WITH NEW VINTAGE WINE

GILROY, CA, January 3, 2008 – Solis Winery owners Michael and Vic Vanni have released their first vintage of wines since assuming ownership of the family business on January 1, 2007. Proving that the Vanni's company is rooted deeper than just vines in soil, the brothers honored their family tree by unveiling a new dessert wine lovingly named after their grandmother – "Anita Maria."

"Vic and I thought it was very appropriate to name our first wine after Noni since she is such a vital person in our lives and the lives of our family members," said winery co-owner Michael Vanni. "She has established a family legacy that we are all proud of."

The fortified wine, made from the Solis Estate Muscat, was conceived and dedicated as a tribute to the life of Anita Maria Vanni, an Italian immigrant who achieved the American dream while passing on her Italian heritage.

The wine is available for tasting and purchase in the Solis Winery tasting room and retails for $18 per bottle. Guests are encouraged to sample their award-winning wines by personally visiting the winery's tasting room, located at 3920 Hecker Pass in Gilroy.

About Solis Winery
Solis Winery lies in the heart of Santa Clara Valley's rich wine-growing region. Originally planted by Italian immigrants in the 1920s, the vineyard changed hands in 1980 when the Vanni family purchased the land. Since then, the Vannis have continued to marry tradition with modern technology and art with innovation to produce award-winning wines.
